Obtain 10 pounds of powdered milk for every 2 adults in the family. Walmart sells the Morning Moo brand of instant milk and it has a 25 year shelf life. They are decently priced but the cannery also sells milk for $8.60 a can and it has a 30 year shelf life. Milk is a good one to have in your food storage!
Extra Challenge: Buy seeds for your garden. Seeds are an excellent thing to keep stored for emergencies and can supplement your supply by a lot. Even if you don't currently have a garden or know how to garden you should still keep seeds on hand because you can always learn as you go if you need to or hopefully have friends or family nearby who can help you learn. If you store them in your freezer they last longer too.
